RMC Secures $2.15 Million in Funding for Recovery Nonprofits – Mid-Year 2025 Report

Updated: Jul 16

Leading Behavioral Health Grant Writers Deliver Record Mid-Year Results

At Recovery Movement Consulting (RMC), we specialize in helping recovery and behavioral health nonprofits access the critical funding they need to grow and serve. As of June 2025, we’ve helped our partners secure $2.15 million in behavioral health grants, funding peer-led and community-driven programs across multiple states.

In a funding landscape marked by shifting federal priorities and fewer SAMHSA opportunities, RMC’s behavioral health grant writers continue to deliver real results—empowering our clients to reduce stigma, increase access, and save lives.

$775,000 Secured Through Illinois ROSC Grants in June 2025:

RMC behavioral health grant writers helped three Illinois organizations win competitive Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) grants from the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS/SUPR):

  • Heartlife Ministries (HLM) – $325,000: To lead faith-based ROSC Councils in Will, Grundy, and Kankakee Counties.

  • Northern Illinois Recovery Community Organization (NIRCO) – $150,000: To lead the Lake County ROSC Council.

  • Sauk Valley Voices of Recovery (SVVOR) – $300,000: To lead ROSC Councils in Ogle, DeKalb, Lee, and Whiteside Counties.

These grants support harm reduction, recovery support, reentry programming, youth prevention, and sustainable recovery infrastructure—demonstrating the power of strategic behavioral health grant writing.

Why Behavioral Health Grant Writers Matter

Too often, peer-led recovery nonprofits are overlooked by traditional funders. That’s why specialized behavioral health grant writers are essential—they bring a deep understanding of:

  • Substance use disorder (SUD) language and recovery principles

  • Lived experience and the value of peer-based services

  • Government, foundation, and community funding trends

  • Strategies that prioritize sustainability and growth

At RMC, we’re proud to stand beside our clients—not just as grant writers, but as partners in purpose.
