A Year of Growth, Impact, and Resilience
2025 marked the most impactful year to date for Recovery Movement Consulting (RMC). From securing millions in grant funding to expanding digital infrastructure for recovery organizations, this year reflected both the strength of the recovery movement and the growing need for strategic, sustainable support.
We are deeply grateful to the organizations and leaders who trust us to support their work. Every grant secured, every website launched, and every strategy developed ultimately supports one goal: expanding access to recovery and behavioral health services across the country.
Navigating a Changing Behavioral Health Funding Landscape
Despite significant federal funding reductions—particularly from SAMHSA—2025 revealed something powerful. Local communities, private foundations, and state-level funders stepped forward in meaningful ways to fill critical gaps.
This shift reinforced what we already know:recovery services are essential, and communities are willing to invest in them.
$2.85M+ Secured in Mid- to Large-Scale Grant Awards
In 2025, RMC helped secure over $2.85 million in grant funding for recovery-focused nonprofits nationwide. These funds directly support:
Peer recovery services
Recovery housing
Workforce development
Community-based behavioral health programs

In addition to these mid- and large-scale awards, RMC supported numerous smaller grant wins throughout the year—further strengthening the funding portfolios of our partner organizations.
Building Long-Term Capacity: Launching Our Grant Training Program
This year, we launched a hands-on grant training program designed to build internal capacity within recovery organizations.
Program Highlights:
8-week duration
One-on-one consulting and coaching
Customized 12-month funding calendar using Instrumentl
Real-time grant development and submission
Outcomes:
2–4 grant applications submitted per organization
Increased internal grant writing confidence and skill
Stronger, more sustainable funding pipelines
This program reflects our commitment not just to writing grants—but to equipping organizations with the tools to succeed long-term.
Expanding Digital Impact: 16 Websites Launched
In today’s funding environment, digital presence plays a critical role in securing funding and building trust.
In 2025, RMC designed and launched 16 websites for recovery-focused organizations. Each site was built to:
Clearly communicate mission and impact
Support fundraising and grant readiness
Improve accessibility and engagement
Deliver recovery-centered, stigma-reducing messaging
Strengthen credibility with funders and partners
These websites serve as more than marketing tools—they are entry points to services, support, and connection.
Spotlight: Supporting CCAR Training
We are especially proud to support CCAR Training, the global leader in recovery coach training.
Our work includes:
New website strategy, development and launch. Check it out at: https://addictionrecoverytraining.org/

Through this partnership, we are helping expand the reach of recovery coach training and elevate recovery-positive messaging on a national scale.
Strengthening Digital Strategy and Storytelling

This work helps organizations:
Increase visibility
Strengthen engagement
Demonstrate impact to funders
Shift public perception around recovery
Strong storytelling is not optional—it is essential to funding, advocacy, and long-term sustainability.
Supporting Nonprofit Formation & Infrastructure
In addition to grant writing and funding strategy, Recovery Movement Consulting supported organizations in establishing and strengthening their nonprofit foundations in 2025. This included guidance on 501(c)(3) formation, state registrations, and organizational infrastructure development, ensuring clients were positioned to access funding, build credibility, and operate sustainably from the start.
A Message from RMC Founder, Shannon Egan
“2025 was our biggest and most impactful year yet at Recovery Movement Consulting. I want to begin by expressing deep gratitude to our clients and partners who trust us to support their missions. Your work on the front lines of recovery changes lives every day, and it is an honor to stand beside you.
Despite federal funding cuts, we saw communities step up in powerful ways. That shift was both encouraging and inspiring.
This year also marked internal growth for RMC as we welcomed new consultants to our team, expanding our ability to serve organizations nationwide.
As we look ahead to 2026, we remain committed to helping recovery organizations secure the resources they need to serve people with dignity and compassion.”
— Shannon Egan
