RMC, Faith Based Nonprofit Grant Writers, Celebrate $200K Grant Win for Hopeline Program

We’re thrilled to announce that Heartlife Ministries (HLM), a faith-based nonprofit in Illinois, has been awarded a $200,000 grant from the Will County Community Mental Health Board to launch its innovative Hopeline Program. This initiative is designed to create sustainable recovery ecosystems and extend life-saving mental health and peer support services to vulnerable populations across Will County.

At Recovery Movement Consulting (RMC), we are proud to be the faith based nonprofit grant writers behind this award-winning proposal. Our peer-led, purpose-driven team works alongside organizations like HLM to turn visionary ideas into fully funded programs that transform lives.

Expanding Access to Faith-Based Mental Health and Recovery Services

The Hopeline Program is a direct response to the rising mental health needs in Will County. Rooted in faith, community connection, and peer support, this new initiative will serve youth, returning citizens, and those experiencing homelessness, untreated trauma, or co-occurring disorders.

The program includes:

  • Suicide prevention for youth in local middle and high schools

  • Support for individuals reentering the community after incarceration

  • Services for those struggling with behavioral health, trauma, or housing instability

Through a blend of clinical and faith-based interventions, the Hopeline Program will provide:

  • Individual and family counseling

  • One-on-one and group peer support

  • Faith-based mentoring and suicide prevention

  • Educational workshops on trauma and behavioral health

  • Life-skills training and job readiness

  • Navigation and linkage to care

  • Sober social events to reduce isolation

  • A county-wide billboard campaign promoting recovery and hope

What This Means for the Community

This award directly supports the strategic goals of the Will County Community Mental Health Board, including stigma reduction, suicide prevention, and expanded access to recovery services. It’s a victory for the entire community—and a powerful example of what’s possible when vision, strategy, and faith based nonprofit grant writers come together.
